I currently have an AMD FX-6300 (3.5 GHZ and Six Cores) cpu and a GIGABYTE 970A-UD3P motherboard. Im looking to upgrade to an intel cpu and motherboard but the total price must be around £300 give or a take a little bit. My current gpu is a gtx 960 msi 4gb and soon I will be upgrading to a 1060 or 1070 so the cpu and motherboard must be compatible. Thank you very much for any help, peace

Please note that i would like this build to be able to run arma 3 on 60fps.

This would be my choice:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£276.00 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£63.54 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £339.54
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

However, I don't think any CPU can keep Arma3 pegged at 60fps, it's just a terribly coded game that runs poorly on any hardware. You'll see a nice improvement though.

This combo once overclocked will slightly outperform the i7 in Arma after overclocking but will likely perform a bit lower in newer AAA...

Does your £300 budget need to include RAM too, or will you be selling your DDR3 to pay for DDR4? Be aware that Intel's current processors and all future AMD CPUs use DDR4.

Cheers lad , I think I am gunna buy some HyperX fury ddr4 ram but is it necessary to upgrade from ddr3. Also I have chose to go for the i5 and the msi motherboard , thanks a lot :)
