Hi, i have in mind buying EVO 212 cpu cooler, but some guys said it would be overkill, because i can't overclock it. I have stock intel cpu fan, it's kinda noisy, and temps while gaming are around 72C, so i want to change it. What cpu cooler will be the best for me?

Sorry for my bad english.

The biggest fans tend to be the quietest, as they spin at a lower RPM. So 120mm fan will be quieter (in most cases) than a 92mm or an 80mm. The bearing also matters, a sleeve bearing is louder than a ball bearing or fluid dynamic bearing.

So a Hyper 212 Evo may be overkill for a locked CPU, but being 120mm it will be quieter than stock, and it's not too expensive. But being a sleeve bearing, it will be slightly noisier than a better bearing fan, but cheaper.

A cheap option that should be pretty quiet would be something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835226051
