Best CPU cooler for LGA 775

hey every1

i was going throught the net/forums as well as reviews, but i couldnt narrow down a satisfactory answer. I wanted ALL your opinions on this one!

My system specs are

Q9550
Asus Rampage Extreme
OCZ Platinum Edition 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
500GB seagate+hitachi HDD
xfx 8600GT Fatal1ty passive cooler edition (but i'll get a new card)

cooler is stock and i'd want the BEST cooler in the market/ price as well as value/performance aka Bang for Buck

i know how the internet can hold manipulated data - but i'd want to know from the pros!

Best air cooler: Prolimatech Megashadow/Megahalems

Best bang for the buck: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus

I'm using the Xigmatek HDT s1283 with the retention bracket and it keeps things nice & tidy for me. got my Q6600 OC'd to 3.6 on 1.39v, temps never go above 55 and they usually idle @ 28

Maybe it's not the best, but it does a hell of a job.

I have on Q9550 an ZEROtherm ZEN FZ120 is a very good cooler.And is not expensive.

If you can fit it in your case, the
Noctua NH-U12P SE2 Dual Fan Quiet CPU Cooler
is tbh, an absolute defeater. Sooo quiet, really powerful, currently keeping my core-i920 that's heavily overclocked cool and literally makes no noise doing so.

Also looks pretty good if you've a windowed case - it is a monster

i have a Thermaltake Spedo case and i have the extra passive coolers addded to the mosfet and northbridge, so i also want to know if there'd be any clearance issues
