Best CPU Cooler?

Don't really have a budget but I was wondering what the best CPU cooler is. I'm a first time builder so I don't know if liquid would be good for me but if you think it's easy enough I'll give it a shot. I will overclock for the i7 4770k.

Be best if you first decide if you want to go air cooling or (closed loop) liquid. I've used both for different reasons.

I would go liquid if:
-you have a side window and aesthetics is important to you. For me, I really like the look of the liquid cooling solutions over the big air coolers.
-you are doing a mini-ITX build and want to overclock.

I would go air if
-you don't have a side window and/or if aesthetics don't matter to you.

There are some decent looking air coolers out there, and a lot of what I am saying is just based on personal preference.

If you want to go air, look at Noctua's lineup (nh-d14 for example). Arguably the best on the market.

If you don't have a budget, and you really want to take the plunge, open loop liquid cooling is a whole different ballgame, and would take a lot of homework before you'd want to dig in. Here is the watercooling sticky to give you an idea

Besides D14 ^^ I think the D15 is out now. There's the Silver Arrow, Phanteks, megalahelms, and my favorite the TPC-812

The closed loop liquid cooling packages are pretty basic to set up. The H100i is one that I have used in the past. It will depend on what case you have as this will determine what cooler would fit.

The H100i would also fit in this case, but I'm a big fan of corsair as well. The one linked above is a great case.
