Best CPU for 250$

I'm getting a gaming rig for around 1100$. I've decided to go with GTX 1070. Using on a 1080p monitor. Suggest me a cpu and mobo under 400$. Should i go for Ryzen or Intel.

If 7700K, cooler, and Z270 mainboard are out of budget, then an R5-1600 and a B350 mainboard are the overwhelming second choice favorite these days....

The Ryzen 5 1600 CPU is an excellent choice at the moment, and there are many affordable decent motherboards that would partner well with it.

I say the 1600 over the 1600x because it comes with a CPU cooler. Also if you wish to overclock, with the right level of tweaking you can get it to perform at a level similar to the 1600x.

Actually I'm buying in australia. And I've decided everything but the Gpu. The gigabyte 1070g1 costs 679AUD over here and the GALAX 1080EXOC costs only 699. Which one should i buy?
