To start off I want to know if the Radeon 7770 was actually a good buy in the first place (I was on a budget). I had the GTX 550ti in another system with a Core i5 2400 and it could run Skyrim max with max AA, and BF3 on Ultra, it could basically max out any game I threw at it so since the Radeon 7770 was better I figured id get a couple more FPS.

Anyways my main question, what would be a good CPU to pair with the Amd 7770. I am a gamer and I also do youtube, I use Windows Movie Maker. Right now I have a Pentium G850 and I'm thinking to upgrade to an i5 3570k because I know that wont bottleneck the GPU (or will it?). I also won't be doing any overclocking. What other CPU do you think I should get?

PC Specs
ASRock H77 Pro4 MVP mobo
Intel Pentium G850
8gb ddr3 GSkill
AMD 7770 ghz edition (PCI 3.0)
1600x900 Acer monitor
500w CX500 PSU

best i think is core i3-3220 but if you want to future proof you can always get a core i5. and since you aren't oc'ing id recommend core i5-3350P or a little more powerful core i5 3450. both are under 190$. and whatever happened to your other build? the one with the coer i5-2400 and 550ti?

The best CPU for a 7770 is the fastest CPU you can afford. Since you don't want to overclock and your motherboard won't let you anyways, I would recommend the I5 3350P. It's doesn't have the integrated graphics, which you don't need. You also save a bit of money.

A 7770 combined with that CPU should play most games on higher settings at your native resolution of 1600 x 900.

I have the MSI brand HD7770 paired with a FX-6100 and it seems to run everything just fine the way I want to. I used to play wow alot and with no addons i was gettin well over 100 FPS. With addons and max graphics i was still about 45 in town!

I am running FX 4300. Runs pretty well with the card. I had some issues with HD 7770 drivers to work with photoshop but that was mainly my fault because I installed Beta drivers. Basically all Cyan colors were displaying black in Photoshop. Nothing to worry about it is fixed now.

Make sure if you buying the FX series do buy either FX 4350 or FX 6150. They just released the new buffed up versions. They perform very well I recommend them 101%

I'm not getting an AMD when my motherboard is Intel.... Anyways, the core i5 3450 is the same price as the core i5 3470. The 3470 has about a 0.1ghz difference. I do make videos and currently use Windows Movid Maker so would it be better to step up to an i7? (My videos are under 10min most of the time)

The i7 would render your videos faster.
If stuff like video rendering/encoding would be the primary usage of your PC then i7 would be better than i5.
If its secondary & it doesn't matter if it takes a few more minutes to render, then i5 is good enough.

Also, i5 3470 is a good choice.
