Best CPu for ASUStek P5N-D

Hello,
i`m looking for one directly for gaming. Are the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2,66 / 2,8 GHZ any good ? Are there any better that these for my motherboard (socket LGA775) ?

Core 2 Extreme QX9650 maybe? But those will demand a premium price due to their scarceness. As will the Q9550/9650 CPUs. Here is the CPU support list for that board and the BIOS update required for the given CPUs.
