Best CPU for gaming

Hi. As the title says I want the best CPU for gaming which will last me 5 years(at least)..I looked at the i5 6600k but I found that is does not have hyper threading and you can't run it without a CPU cooler..please suggest a CPU for gaming under 20000rs (shopping from india) Thanks in advance....

You will need a CPU cooler for any CPU you buy for gaming. The i5 is the best CPU for mid to high range gaming beaten only by the i7, i cant justify getting the i7 though unless you do rendering or other multi-core demanding actions. The 6600k is an excellent CPU for gaming and should last you for longer than 5 years.

"K" CPUs don't come with coolers and need to be paired with the more-expensive Z170 chipset motherboards to overclock. Because of this, an i7 6700 is usually close to the same cost as an i5 6600K when you take everything else into account, and in my opinion is likely to be more future-proof.

That said, you might also consider the cheaper i5 6500, which comes with a cooler and can be used with inexpensive motherboards too.
