[SOLVED] best cpu for gaming

Im searching for a processor that handle high-end games like MW and Red Dead in the range of 150-400 dollars

If money is no object then the i9 9900k. If budget is a consideration then a 3700X is very close for a lot less.

The 9700k is a good choice. There is a slight question over how long 8 threads will be sufficient but at the moment it’s only just behind the 9900k if only gaming. However having just upgraded my own system I picked a 3700X over the 9700k.

I just would not pick any i5. 6 threads is causing lower minimum FPS in some games already and I just don’t see any headroom for the future. A 3600/3600X is a much better choice.
