Best CPU for LGA 1155 Motherboard ?

Hey guys, i'm thinking about an upgrade to play The witcher 3 and i was wondering what is the best CPU compatible with my motherboard, wich is a GIGABYTE GA-Z77M-D3H, CHIPSET Z77, LGA 1155, and i want to know if i need another PSU ( i have a COUGAR 500W RX 500) to support this new CPU plus my video card ( evga gtx 970) with no overclock in video and and no overclock in cpu, sry for bad english, thx .

The 3570k is the best gaming processor you can get for that motherboard.

Intel phases out CPUs so fast that it's hard to get though. You are going be paying more than if you were to buy a faster processor on a new motherboard.

That's not much of an upgrade.

You'd be much better off buying the latest gear and selling off what you have.

I would still not sell those specs.They are perfectly fine.Even if you experience a problem a small overclock over the turbo boost will be more than enough

Agreed, unless you actively needed something your motherboard cannot offer (such as SLI or if you needed more PCI-E slot), then there is often little need to upgrade a CPU alone. At least not now.
