Hi,

I am looking for a new CPU for my computer. I am in the budget of £120 - £170. With the motherboard, I am looking between £200 and £220. I use my computer for:

Gaming, programming, school work, video watching. I also do a lot of multitasking on my PC.

I am deciding between the AMD FX-8350, FX-9370 and the Intel i5-4670.

The games I play:

Battlefield 3&4, DayZ (note: requires a lot of cpu power), CoD, Skyrim, Civ 5, Minecraft, Crysis 1,2&3, Titanfall and some others.

At the moment, I have a GTX 760 w// 8GB of 1333mhz RAM.

What CPU should I buy?

You don't need to spend that much on a motherboard. Here are a few choices for your budget, around £390 max correct?

This would be more than enough for current titles. Buy an aftermarket cooler if you'd like to overclock, a Noctua NH-D14 would be very good.

I would highly reccomend you spend just a litle more money to get i5 4670k instead of the regular 4670 and you should also tell me what PSU do you have cus the powerful AMD CPU s require twice or sometimes 3 times more power then an intel cpu in this case both of those AMD CPU s require 2x the power that the i5 4670 or 4670k require also i play Battlefield 4 with an i5 on ultra and its just fine 60 fps

Out of those 3 that you listed the FX 8350 would be a good choice(with an aftermarket cooler though, because the stocks ones are really loud).
If,by multitasking you mean having Facebook,Youtube and Skype open whilst watching a movie and downloading some stuff, the Intel 4670 is also a good choice. But if multitasking for you means Photoshop and rendering/editing videos,i would go with the 8350.

In the games you mention the differences between them aren't really noticeable(bf3 & bf4 might benefit from the 8350/9370 since they're AMD lovers). The differences will show in some benchmarks and heavy multitasking(where the 8350/9370 pulls ahead).
The AMD cpus do need a bit more power (not three times as much though),and their performance per core isn't as good as Intels',but they do have good performance per dollar.

Anyway,hope i've helped :)

At the very top end of your budget. This is the best CPU you can get for LGA 1150, will perform similarly to the i5 4670k in most circumstances, but better when more than 4 threads can be used (Crysis 3, BF4).

And if you're not interested in overclocking here's another option. It will perform identically to an i7 4770, but it's quite a lot cheaper.

In any case, for your budget there's no need to consider AMD. Sub-par performance, and the 9xxx series are just overclocked 83xx series'.
