I have a motherboard that I will soon be putting into my pc but I still need to upgrade munch CPU and I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on won't CPU I should get that would be compatible with the lga 1151 CPU support it has. I may record videos or have many chrome tabs opened, but mostly games like h1z1, planet coaster, rust, or ark opened. BTW I probably won't be over locking and my budget is around $350! First thread made so tell me if I have to add anything.

B150 doesn't support the latest CPUs without a BIOS update. Were I in your shoes, I'd probably return it and get a B250 board, then put in an i7 7700. Otherwise, you can either buy a cheap CPU to update the BIOS with (then return it) and use an i7 7700, or you can use the slightly older, slightly slower i7 6700.

Does it matter what CPU I put in to update the BIOS and I don't know if I can return it, since it has been a long time. If I do find a way to return it, are there any other advantages to the b250? Also I already have a pc with a CPU, can i take that out of the pc and put it in to update the BIOS?

The CPU you use must fit in the socket, which is 1151. The cheapest 1151 CPU is the Celeron G3900, but considering how little better an i7 7700 is than a 6700, I probably wouldn't bother, and just get a 6700.

B250, when paired with Intel's 7xxx "Kaby Lake" CPUs has some extra media decoding features and support for Intel's Optane storage, which hasn't really been released retail yet. Since it's about a year newer, you're also likely to find more ports for newer standards, such as USB type-C, but it will really depend on the specific board.
