[SOLVED] Best CPU for my 1070ti?

Well, the title already describes it, i am searching for a good cpu that doesnt bottleneck my 1070ti. I have 8gb of ram, but im planning to upgrade to 16 very soon, my CPU at the moment is an i5-6500, which is a pretty big bottlenack in some games. At the moment im between a i7-7700 and a i7-7700k. 8th gen isn’t really an Option, because my motherboard only supports 7th gen. I would alsoo perfer not to buy a new motherboard, cause that one is just over 1 month old. Thanks in advance

If you're playing at 1080p, you're gonna need to overclock the 7700k to minimize the bottleneck as at stock speeds it won't still be enough. Get a good cooler and try to get a 7700k already delidded from eBay or somewhere to be able to get better temperatures and/or overclocks.

I play on a 144Hz 1440p Monitor

Then you're good to go with any 6th/7th gen i7. Preferably 6th gen as 7th ones were running hotter without bringing much improvement. 6700k is the best IMO.
