Best CPU for Nvidia Gtx 650 1GB (budget: $150)

Hello,
The last year I bought a new GPU (Nvidia Gtx 650), but I still have some lags when I play some videogames.
So maybe I should change the CPU. What CPU do you suggest?
My current CPU is: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 (2.93 GHz)

There is only one upgrade that is compatible with your motherboard socket and the FSB - that is the Intel COre2 Duo E7500. Unfortunately, it only gives approximately 5% CPU improvement.

After that you are looking at changing hte CPU, motherboard and RAM and that can't be done within your budget.
