Best cpu lga 771 or 775 for a g41-vs3

What cpu can I get for the asrock g41-vs3 r2.0, im looking for a 771 adapted but I see a lot of people saying to know what cpu work in the mobo, sorry my English is bad lol

i was looking the Xeon X5482 but idk if that cpu work well in the mobo

It's not even compatible. Different sockets.
If the cpu isn't on the support list, it most likely isn't supported.
Q9650 is your best bet.

Not with that board at least. The motherboard doesn't support the x5482's bus speed, nor would it be able to handle the heat that thing would give off.

Why would you want to do such a risky mod anyways? Q9650 would be less of a headache, plus there's no danger to damaging your motherboard, because if you screw up, the cheaper mod can end up being more expensive than if you'd just get the fastest cpu officially supported by the board.

Or just save up for something new, as that platform is pretty old anyway.
