[SOLVED] Best CPU / MB to run Win7/8 bought GTX 1650

I have GTX 1650 and need upgrade to new CPU/MB. I was considering Ryzen 5 3600 or i5 9400. However I am not sure they run Win7/8. I am not keen on using Win 10. What is best I can use in such a case in budget CPU/MB for Win7/8 that will not bottleneck 1650?

Solution
Probably the 6th gen processors were about the last to have WIN 7 support.
The first support to go was likely the intel integrated graphics which would not apply to you.

In terms of processors, the i3-10100 is a very good gaming cpu.
On a par with the r5-3600 and i5-9400, but cheaper.
But, if your cpu budget is in the $200 range, I would look at the 11th gen i5-11400.
Here is a review which includes 3600 and 10100 for comparison:

If you have a win 7 license, give it a try.
If you have a problem, win 10 is quite stable by now and you should be able to activate.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Regardless of what platform you're going to migrate to concurrently or into the future, you will not get support for Windows 7(you could force it on but it'll only spell grey hairs and a bald head), Windows 8 will eventually get phased out so you're left with Windows 10 and 11.

Also, your idea of no bottlenecks on an older OS is not possible,
