I'm planning on upgradng a friends PC and I am wondering how much horsepower I can get for £270 ~ $390
He's already got:
Case: NZXT Phantom Enthusiast
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750w G2
GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0
RAM: Kingston FURY 4x4GB 1866MHz
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro
HDD: 2TB Western Digital Black
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GTX
Current CPU: AMD FX-8350 @ 5GHz
Current Motherboard: MSI 990FXA Gaming
I've already got the best of what I think will suit him (Gaming, recording, editing, rendering, photo editing and general PC use)
CPU: Intel Xeon 1231 v3
Motherboard: MSI B82-G41 PC Mate
If you can find a better CPU/Motherboard set-up, please tell me and I will take it into consideration. BUT! You have to remember that if he is to go with a DDR4 motherboard, you will have to allocate the RAM into the budget also. He doesn't care about overclocking, but he doesn't want it to run any hotter than 70'c which is understandable.
