What I have so far:
ASUS PRIME Z270-P
MSI RX 570 armor mk2 8gb oc
Corsair hx series 750w psu
500gb ssd
2tb hd
I don't know if this is an ideal set up, but it's what I got.
I'll be adding 16gb ram
I need a processor.
Ideally, the ram and processor will cost $300. If I need to wait a month or two and save a little more, I can if it'll make a significant difference.
I’ll be using it for gaming and want a steady 60+ fps. I play pubg, destiny, blackout and I'm getting the division 2 and devil may cry 5 (came free with the 570.)
I want to be able to run any game. I don't need ultra settings, but i don't want any lag or stuttering.
Thanks for your help.

The best CPU you (or at least my recommendation for your current hardware) would be an I7 7700/k. It will get you the results you desire, and will last well another year or two. But you might have to get it second hand, which I never recommend.
