Hello I currently have a A8-5600k and a GTX 1050ti which was upgraded from my R7-260x and I'm currently looking for upgrade.

I do mean to replace the motherboard and ram since I'm saving the old parts for my little brother so he doesn't need to use his weak laptopl.

My current specs are:
-CPU:A8-5600k
-CPU Cooler:Cosmo Cool LC-CC-120
-Motherboard:FM2A85X Extreme4
-Memory:8GBs DDR3-1600MHz
-Storage:500GB WD5000AAKX
-Video Card: Phoenix GTX 1050ti (PH-GTX1050TI-4G)
-Case:7035B - ATX Classic
-Power Supply:LC500H-12 V2.2 - Office Series
-OS:Windows 10 PRO (64-bit)

I do mean buying my little brother a new case, PSU and hard drive.

Any help is appreciated!

With anything above a Ryzen 3 your 1050 Ti would become a bottleneck. If you plan on upgrading to something...
I'd get a Ryzen 3 2200G or 1200 which would be a gigantic upgrade over your A8. You'd need new ram, motherboard, and an adapter if you want to use your current cooler and not the stock ones which actually aren't too bad. Either one should be able to support you for at least a couple years with a pretty good upgrade path.
Hope this helps!

I know that I am gonna need to get new ddr4 ram that's why I am gonna give all my old parts to my little brother so he can play games like Fortnite: Battle Royale at 1080p 60fps low settings and one more question would the Ryzen 5 1400 be a good choice since it has two four threads?

With anything above a Ryzen 3 your 1050 Ti would become a bottleneck. If you plan on upgrading to something better (lets say a 1070) a Ryzen 5 would be great, just have in mind if you buy the 1400 you'll need a better cooler because the stealth cooler just isn't enough. Whatever you get just know it is a HUGE upgrade from that A8.

(If you can get an r5 1600 for a good deal GET IT 2 more cores and 4 more threads will further future proof your build)
