Best current or upcoming x99 motherboard?

Solution
I don't see new boards coming out except for maybe a few USB 3.1 variants as the horizon approaches for next generations CPUs / MoBos.

The choice would depend on usage ... which of these two categories do you fit in ?

A. Gaming with 3 or more GFX Cards
B. Workstation Applications

C. Also, any unusual feature needs ? ... i.e. WiFi ?
D. Budget Limitations ?

In past I would have recommended the Asus Sabertooth, WS or Rampage but in recent years, quality has gone in the toilet.

The Rampage has almost a 10% return rate (9.65%)

and has a very high number of highly negative (1 egg) newegg user reviews at 23% (15% 2 egg)...

The Sabertooth does worse with 33% 1 eggers ... pretty scary when 1 in 3 owners give a component the worse rating possible.

The WS doesn't do much better with 31%

The Asus Deluxe is also at 33% 1 eggers

The Gigabyte Gaming (are you gaming ?) tops even Asus with 35% 1 eggers

Gigabyte best offering with a statistically valid number of reviews is the UD4 which also garners 355 1 eggers.

The new X99-SLI is getting good reviews but with only 7 so far, not exactly statistically valid ... similar thing for MSi version

When 1 in 3 of board owners are giving a board the lowest possible negative rating, I'd stay away .... if ya look at the progression of the same boards from X79 to X99, it seems the dissatisfaction is mot limited to one particular brand tho it's most pronounced w/ Asus.
