Best DDR3 for gaming

I've been looking and reading about DDR3 right now I have corsair vengeance 1600 mem.
I am about to start a new build and wanted to make sure I got the best DDR3 for gaming and my money. I've always heard anything over 1866 is overkill and you wont notice a difference anyways. I was looking really hard at the
Mushkin Red Line 1866mhz
G.Skill Trident X 2400mhz
Corsair Dominator Platinum 1866mhz

Or if you have any suggestions they would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your input.

If you already have a 1600 kit I wouldn't be too concerned considering how much ram costs atm.
Yes the sweet spot for Haswell gaming is 1866,anything over that has diminishing returns gaming wise.

For gaming 1866 is fine, however with the prices, especially the 2400 Tridents, the higher bandwidth will aide quite a bit in multitasking, video, imaging, anything that uses DRAM

I didn't wanna PM you AGAIN lol so I threaded it. I remember us talking about the trident-x series but I havent seen it on or near the top for mem. I saw Mushkin a lot. I will be multitasking lol. Ill have to see prices when Im day of purchase ready. Sorry other guy I gotta go with my boy Tradesman1 I appreciate it and Ill keep that nugget in mind.
