Hello.

I am looking to buy RAM for ASRock B150M Pro4S/D3 S1151 mATX Intel B150 Motherboard with an i5-6500 processor - I have read that I shouldn't use normal DDR3 RAM and instead get DDR3L RAM as it runs at a lower voltage.

My question is what is the best DDR3L RAM to get - I am looking to get 8GB for the time being and have been told that it is best to get 2 4GB sticks rather then a single 8GB stick - is that true?

I have found http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005NU49DG/?tag=pcp0f-21 but I am unsure what Dual Voltage means - does it mean that I would have to manually set the voltage?

Should I get RAM with a heatshield like http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B014R8JMAO/?tag=pcp0f-21 - this has a higher frequency but will that motherboard support it as it says it supports 1866(OC) but am unsure what that means as well http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B150M%20Pro4SD3/

Thank you,

"Dual Voltage" simply means that they picked DDR3L chips that are designed to safely operate on both 1.5V and 1.35V memory voltage, which should enable you to use either older motherboard and CPUs that need 1.5V memory or newer motherboards and CPUs that require 1.35V memory.

I would get the Hyper X modules , they will set themselves up when installed.

Automatic overclocking up to 1866MHz :D

Voltages start as low as 1.35V

Asymmetric, aggressive heat spreader design

Available in multiple colors with a black PCB
