best deal Mobo for 3770

What is the sweet spot for mobos for the 3770? Since I will not be overclocking it much, I am looking for the best deal.

It seems like there are not many price breaks from the Z77 to the H77.

What should I look for?

There was a 2.5 year span between SB (Socket 1155) and Haswell (socket 1150). 1150 has reached "end-of-life" status.... so question t ask yaself is.....is the $20 savings worth what ya lose with regard to future upgrade ability of replacing parts.

I don't think there's any compelling reason to move from an Ivy Bridge or even a Sandy Bridge based system to a Haswell system-- there simply isn't enough performance and feature differential to justify it. On the other hand, if you're building a new rig from scratch, there's little point in investing in end-of-life platforms, so going Haswell/Z87 makes sense.

well, I am getting the 3770 for $178.02, shipped.

besides, I am not convinced that Broadwell will be compatible with the present generation of 1150 socket... Thanks for your input though; that's what I am looking for.

Didnt find many MoBo / CPU combos w/ 3570k but ya can essentially get it for $185 but the MoBo doesn't excite me

I could get a 4670K for $200 instead, along with a $45 discount on the mobo... the 3770 for $178 just seems hot....

There's an open box Z77 mobo for $63 after tax and rebate....
