I want to add some light to my case and don't know what LED's to buy. I want some that are digital (i guess it's called) so I can control each light and have rainbow type effects. I don't want to spend a lot of money on them though as it's purely for aesthetics. Any suggestions would be great.

As far as i know NZXT HUE+ is the only LED controller that allows you to control individual LEDs on a LED strip via software. Other options are basic LED kit with control over LED strip as a whole and custom LED kit that needs either a bit of programming or a remote.

Do note that any sort of proper eyecandy comes with a premium price, especially RGB lightning with plenty of features.

For example, keyboards. I have Corsair STRAFE RGB keyboard with Cherry MX Silent switches that costs $150. Same keyboard without RGB lightning effects and only with red backlight costs only $80. Just to get RGB, the price almost doubles,

The best would be NZXT HUE+,
features: https://www.nzxt.com/product-overview/hue-plus-features
specs: https://www.nzxt.com/products/hue-plus

With HUE+, you'll get HUE+ controller and 4x LED strips (10 LEDs per 1 strip). HUE+ controller has 2 channels and support for up to 4 LED strips per channel.

With NZXT CAM software, you can control each individual LED light manually via software on any of the connected LED strip.

In my Skylake build (full specs in my sig), i already have HUE+ and 3x AER140 RGB fans. In a few weeks, i'll be getting LED strips as well. Few pics of my HUE+ too,

Under the spoiler is a pic i just made to show that you can even control individual LED lights inside AER RGB fans via NZXT CAM software.
