If I want to plug a gtx 980ti with my Asus Vg248QE and benefit of the 144hz of my monitor, what is the best display cable for me?

DisplayPort. Dual link HDMI will work aswell but, DisplayPort is preferable and more future proof.

It doesn't matter. Get any DP cable that is 4k capable and that is not the cheapes one. Or tell me a retailer.
