I am a programmer. I need to buy a 24 inches monitor to connect my PC and Mac Mini. The text should be clear when coding in Visual Studio. Let me know the best monitor for this task. Also kindly let me know whether I should settle for 24 inches screen or should I buy a bigger size display.

Solution
24 inch is the sweet spot for 1080p, so is 27 for 1440p.
You should aim IPS. Maximum adjustment options (maybe even pivot).
Look at Dell, for example, U2414H. You may also try U2515H, but it's 1440p@25in, so the text might look too small without upping font size of enabling scaling. But 1440p offers more real estate.
Last but not least, with VS I'd recommend 2 monitor setup (I work with this setup now): editor on 1 screen, output/errors/breakpoints on the other. 3 monitors would be ideal, of course, but 2x1080p is a good option, too.
