I got a bunch of used parts form work and only had to buy a case for them to make a 2nd machine. I got an asus P2L97-S motherboard, 128mb mem(pc66 only), P2 333, 2 IBM 4.3 gig SCSI harddrives and a sound card. I put it all in my new case with my old diamond viper 550 and a NIC. The problem is it locks only when playing Quake 3 everything else I have runs fine. I have tried many different drivers on the machine. What is the best driver for a TNT card on Win ME.

On that machine I'd start with a 1 wood, then maybe a baseball bat. ;-)

I don't know about Windows ME, but I have a TNT2 on Windows 98 SE and the 12.00 Nvidia Reference drivers work for me. If you don't know where you can get reference drivers, go to www.videocarddrivers.com.

Since it's locking up in Quake 3, you might also want to check your IRQ's in Windows and make sure that nothing is using the same one, because that will sometimes cause problems with certain games as well...

also... why type sound card do u have? sometimes that can cauze crashes on games.
i just intentionally destroyed my vibra 128 becuase it kept locking up my machine infrequently... but very frequently when playing baldurs gate 2.
somthing to bear in mind.
now have a SB live and 0 problems :)
