Agreed. That's what I use on my TI4800. They fly. For some reason, I
couldn't get the 45.33 driver to load, so I settled for the 45.23 and
couldn't be happier.

Some newer games such as battlefield vietnam will require you to install
newer drivers before they'll work.

No it doesn't. BFV suggests it and puts the driver on the CD, but it isn't
required to play.

Most stable include.. 30.82,, 41.09,, 45.23/45.33

Take you choice but if the ones you are using now give good
performance - why change..???

This may well be the case but it isn't entirely recommended to use 50
series drivers on GeForce 4, or earlier, cards... Not recommended,
BUT, it is possible to get flawless performance from them...

My advice to you - If they work well, stick with them...

Use the 45.23 for the best image and stability with that card.

I am just wondering... Not recommended by whom? Clearly it is recommened
by nVidia and EVGA and most of the other suppliers of video cards. I use
53.03 (with the inf file modified to support nV4) with the original TNT1 PCI
and agp cards (diamond viper v550's) without trouble. The new features that
have been added are quite nice such as the ability to set custom resolutions
and refresh rates. The performance (windows 2D and D3D) seems as good as
any of the old drivers and the openGL has improved for both Win9x and
WinXP/2K.

Why not use the 50 series drivers? The only problem I have found is that in
XP with 56.64 and old AT motherboards, the "it is now safe to turn off the
computer" message doesn't come up. 53.03 doesn't have this problem and I
haven't tried 56.72 yet. In Win9x 56.64 seems to work fine even on the
original TNT cards.
