I am currently looking at the Kingwin FPX-003 Fan connector... Its neat, and has many cool and useful features.

I was wondering if there was a better fan controller that could fit into a 5'25 inch bay... Also, it has to be below 60 US dollars.

Minimum requirements:

4 channels
Temperature display
RPM display

And, also, one question: What does the power per channel have to do with anything? Is more better? Is 8V enough for hardcore gaming, and maybe Overclocking?

Thanks!

The problem with all fan controllers is that they rely on temperture probes that you have to place in order to get the temp to know whether to turn up or down fans. Since you can't place a temp probe on the CPU itself, you have to tape it to the side or the heatsink and now you're not getting proper temps. The probe falls off or out of place, then your system is overheating and it doesn't know since the temp didn't rise, the fans don't ramp up.

The only exception to this is the NZXT Grid+ which gets the actual CPU and GPU temps from your motherboard and can control the fans, but it's an internal device with no 5.25" bay.

The best device is the motherboard itself. It knows the temps and can control them.

Step 1) go on a shopping website
Step 2) put in maximum price as $60
Step 3) sort by reviews high to low
Step 4) buy the best one.

Seriously. If all you're asking for is opinions you might as well go by reviews on a shopping website.
