Hello there, just bought a new case for my system, the Corsair Carbide Spec 01 wich have 5 120mm fan slots, 2 on the front, 2 on the top and 1 on the rear, i thought about making it like 2 on the front for intake, 2 on the top for exaust and rear one for intake, however the 2 on the top, if setup for intake will blow air directly into my GPU (MSI R9 380), wich i believe would be a good thing, but then how would i setup the other 3?
Wich setup you believe to be the most efficient?
And should the PSU be setup for intake or exaust?
Thanks.
My system:
FX 8320 3,5GHz 16mb cache CPU
MSI R9 380 4GB GPU
Gygabyte 78LMT-USB3 MOBO
8GB HyperX RAM 1600w 1x RAM
700W CoolerMaster 80 plus PSU
1TB Seagate HD 7200rpm HD
120GB Seagate SSD SSD
Corsair Spec 01 CASE
4x 120mm CoolerMaster FANS

I would not set up your top fans to intake. They should be exhaust. Hot air naturally rises, and if you set up your top fans as intake, you will be working against that hot air. Essentially, you will just be pulling in circulated hot air that you already exhausted, and working your fans harder to boot. That will only shorten their lifespan.

If you want better cooling and positive pressure to help reduce the amount of dust buildup, set up the two in the front and the one in the rear as intake, and the two in the top as exhaust.

Also, either PSU orientation would be fine. Some people recommend the fan-down orientation (which is what I use) simply because it prevents anything small (like little screws) from falling into your PSU. The amount of air that is exhausted from the fan-up orientation is minimal. Again, hot air travels up so your PSU would be trying to pull air downward, and thus be working against the natural flow of air.

Ok, thank you, that was pretty much what i was initially thinking, but i'm pretty new in computer building, so now i can do it without fear.
That's pretty much it, thanks a lot for your time

You're welcome! Have fun!
