best FM2+ APU/CPU under 120$

last post din't receive much help hopefully this does.

specs:
Fortress Magnus D205 case
A8-7600(part that i want to replace/upgrade)
Asus A68HM-E
Hyperx Fury 8Gb 1600mhz RAM
(planning to buy)GT 1030
300watt psu

After you have the separate graphics card then an 880K (for about $100) would be the best. Here is the CPU support list for that motherboard -- https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/A68HME/HelpDesk_CPU/ The 880K is supported with the 0805 or newer BIOS. The 1403 BIOS is the latest BIOS listed.

If you are after an APU the best one that comes to mind is the A10-7890K. Since you are getting a gpu though maybe consider going for a cpu such as x4 880k.

I had purchased an A8 7600 for a sff build I did a while back. That was one impressive little chip for sub $70 at the time. It surfed and did HTPC duty like a champ. Gaming...well...and here is the thing. I really don't think that even going to one of the x4 chips is going to make a significant difference to you in 'driving feel'. Even more than that I would probably consider doing something like a 1050 card and PSU. The CPU is still going to keep you at mediocre frame rates.

IMO, the thing to do here is (get a GPU then) save some money, wait, and upgrade to the AM4 platform instead.
