Title explains it. What is the best FREE anti-spyware/malware software out there that has the smallest effect on slowing down your pc??

BIT DEFENDER is the best. But if on budget i would recommend Kaspersky.

avast free and malwarebytes free plus the windows firewall plus common sense is a good combo.i do recommend malwarebytes pro tho.for 24.95 for a lifetime licence and realtime protection you cant go wrong.

Malwarebytes for Malware. Spybot for adware etc. MSE for anti virus. I like the light version of bitdefender internet shield too.

Hi Vannimal ,
avg free antivirus is good and uses very little cpu usage , a antivirus is good but this does not stop traffic coming or going from the internet without your permission , you need a good firewall for this , i recommend Zone alarm free fire wall.
i use both of these and have done for a long time and both have saved my butt many times.
