Best free program for USB controllers to work on steam

So yea I've got one normal PC USB controller and I'm wondering what should I use to get it running for steam ?

Well it's not known .. it's a normal USB PC Controller , looks like the PS2 ones , it's about 5 $ or something only

It says " MediaTech " as it's model tho , but I'm pretty sure it's not a model :3

If it looks like a Dualshock, then I'd expect it would work with MotionInJoy. I'm not sure if it will since that it's an off-brand, but that's my best guess. If not... Is there a serial code or any kind of id on it anywhere?
