Question Best Free Video Upload Sites That Actually Work ?

Hello

I use imgur a lot to post screenshots etc… what are the best free sites to do this for little clips to post on forums like this ?

To be clear, I'm not talking about GIFs, and I don't want to put these little clips etc on my youtube account; or have to share them via my private one drive etc) ? Also because they are for forums it would be pointless to use any service where it deletes the files in a short time.

I've tried searching, wasted ages trying and even registering for different sites; and they all have ways to thwart you in the end.
For example - I just signed up to Dailymotion and it won't let you share the videos with anyone else ?

I don't want to use anything that requires a phone number (e.g. even a new gmail does)


Surely there is an imgur equivalent?

Personally, for file sending, other than common avenues, i use WeTransfer;

Takes a bit of fiddle to use it; doesn't require sign-up; and files are automatically deleted after 7 days. So, a nice service to use for temp uploads. But for the love of me, i can not remember if it offers embedded video playing.

You can have multiple YouTube channels under one account. I’d prefer YouTube above others since it supports up to 4K video and you can do portrait style (shorts) and landscape style videos. I’ve currently got 3 YouTube channels. To access the others, I just click my profile icon in the top right.

Just make a throwaway veed or streamable account.

But at the end of the day, video hosting is expensive, far more expensive than image or text.

Who's paying for the server? easily double or triple digit. Bandwith? IPv4? SSL certificate? DDoS protection? Domain? (easily double digit or even triple depending on the name)
Who pays for backups? Who pays for the salary of the constant upkeep? Law enforcement coop, GDPR and COOPA compliance as well as constant moderation to prevent abuse?

No one and that's the key point. Just because you believe auto-deleting old videos saves space, does not solve the issue of someone picking the short stick over and over again....
