[SOLVED] Best freeware sound file to text file converter

I'm looking for the best sound file to text file software. I realize this may be an account somewhere which is OK. Either. Hoping for someone's experience here that will make the difference.

There are over 20 and they all cost something. and it takes about 15 minutes to test each one. I don't mind paying something but literally testing each one with so many more to chose from is difficult.

I have wave files and looking to get text files from them.

With what degree of accuracy?

What are your hopes and expectations?

I had hundreds of hours of experience in voice to text a decade ago.....but never WAV to text. At that time, accuracy was pretty good, but the files always required a lot of editing if 100 percent accuracy was needed.

You'll be limited by CPU speed, quality of the WAV, and accuracy level demanded.

Accuracy but I can spend time proofreading, as that's expected.

My computer should be fast enough.

Have you tested windows inbuild dictation app?
You can play the wav and setup a mic to pic it up.

Also your smartphone should be able to do this, google alexa and so on all have pretty good voice recognition.
