We don't share much hobbies and he works with a computer everyday and has a MacBook pro, what do you suggest he starts playing with ? He said HL2 was too boring at start so, recommendations?

Maybe try the military shooters like call of duty/counter strike or battlefield.

My uncle likes to play time crisis on PS2 with the G-con gun, I think there is a similar version on PS3. The PS2 gun only works on some tvs though, no idea about the PS3 version.

Kids are faster than most adults (don't know your dad's age lol), so shooters can be frustrating. ANd in my case, my grandkids and I like to play together.

So a game like World of Warcraft, or even World of Tanks (which can be downloaded and played for free) might work best. Then you'd be playing together, and not against each other :)

My Dad really loves motogp & watches it on the sport channels, so I installed motogp 2007 (just the demo) and let him have a go.
Well its longest i've got him to sit down playing a game as he usually gives up easily.
If he likes sport try something he's into.

Good Luck

He's the founder of IDPA (international defensive pistol asosiation) here in puerto rico so ill prolly start him out with a cod and bf, since he has xp on his mac but which shooter is the easiest to get into / most interesting at start.

It all depends on the persons interests. I am sure you could find a demo somewhere and see if he likes it.
