Alpha just because he stated he's 19 doesn't mean you should be condescending to him. You don't know it's his fathers money and calling him kid isn't necessary. He's asking us for advice and we're arguing among ourselves about stupid things.

That being said I completely agree with you 100% on the split the 4k into two computers and get the best of both worlds...

I stand by my original post.

1/2 or 2/3 off, and use the rest for a vacation.

Tyler john - it helps in questions like this to outline exactly what you need, instead of only a (stupidly high) price point.
Finally, in the comments, we have discovered that you need a gaming PC and a machine for 3D rendering. And you and your brother are teenagers.

All of that colors what might be suggested as far as a build goes.

1/2 off, and vacation on the rest. Or a couple months rent somewhere.

Well....I'm not going to get into the family dynamics here, but $4000 US is, IMHO, stupidly high.

Build a PC to a function, not a price point. A good gaming PC need not cost $2000. A good 3D rendering PC need not cost $2000.

Build two, and take a couple of nice girls out to dinner on the rest.
Done right, and you'll remember that dinner long after the PC is melted into scrap in a Lagos suburb.
