Hello all, this is my first post :D I don't know much about hardware so please bare with me.

I currently have a lenovo pc (specs are at the bottom of the comment) and i want to transform in into a decent gaming computer, after doing some research i will need to upgrade the power supply because at the moment its only 280 watts...

OP: Windows XP
System model: 8113JCG
Processor: Inter(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
RAM: 2GB
Chip type: Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
Graphics card slots: PCI
Power Supply: 280 watts

I dont know if if this is the information which you need but if you need to know more just ask :) Could all be patient and friendly with me.

Kind regards,
Brad

If you can reuse your typical things (that usually dont want upgrade) tower, monitor, mouse/keyboard AND Hard Disk,

Mobo: Msi: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130579 $84.99 - $20.00 MIR = $64.99
CPU: Pentium G850 (sandybridge very good for gaming for its price (check tom's cpu hierarchy and recommand)): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116397 $87.99
RAM: (4) 2x2GB DDR3: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277 $26.99
PSU: 430watt Corsair. (at its price is pure steal :)): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026 $44.99 - $20.00 MIR = $24.99
GPU: XFX HD-677X-ZNFC Radeon HD 6770 (better than stock cooler with a free dirt3 at great price): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150560 $124.99 - $30.00 MIR = $94.99

Total: (Without rebates: $369.95) with rebates: $299.95

:)
