i looking to get a new graphics card for gaming. what would be better,gddr or ddr?

There are no modern GPU's using DDR RAM, im not sure if there ever were. Are you asking about the difference between GDDR3 and GDDR5? GDDR5 is faster. However the type of ram the GPU uses is not the first thing you should be looking at.

What is your budget for a GPU? And your current system specs?

Oh yeah the GT 1030. The GDDR5 version of the GT 1030 is far superior.
