Best gaming laptop $500

I have a old a6 3420m and would like to upgrade it something new because my old laptop is dying out and everything wanna play games like bf4 counter strike etc med settings

how does the 940m compare to the a10? is it worth the extra almost $140?

and i wanna get a nvidia gpu because all my computer are amd ;P

That Acer laptop has been on sale. I know 'cuz I recommended it several times for probably the last 2 weeks or so. It seems the sale has ended.

Get the acer. Its well worth the money, and the gt 940 beats the a10 by quite a lot.

thanks i am not in a rush to buy it yet i still have a 3 weeks before i buy it.

is it ok to buy a used laptop off amazon i feel like i can get something like new and better performance for cheaper price but the other question is what if it breaks

I never have so i don't know but amazon tells you if it is still under warranty or not on refurbished items and they are tested so if you get a good enough deal I don't see why not. But I wouldn't trust it if it wasn't under warranty.

Unless you are sure you won't be playing any new games that may want a better video card, $500 is a bit low for a gaming laptop. That is the range of mainstream business and home systems.

For a gaming laptop, I would not get anything under an 860/960m, a 940m is OK but if you want to play something that comes out in 2 years that needs a faster card, you are stuck.

Did you also include the money you may get for selling your current system? A working laptop in good shape with an A6 CPU should get you about $200.

no this one is about to die some reason the battery isnt working overheating etc etc going to give this to my mom to use for surfing the web

i couldnt find anything about if the 950m is better then the 940m and the 850m
