Hi everyone. I am looking for the best overall (reliability, performance, etc.) gaming laptop for $1000. I can go up to probably $1200, no more. I have been looking at this: http://amzn.to/1UWEl6T

I am still unsure of what to get, but I'd like a laptop that is no more than 15.6", no more than 5.6 pounds for portability reasons. I don't need anything too overkill though. Also, no Apple or Alienware.I would also like (if possible) specs similar to the one I have liked above, at least i7 6700, and the GTX 970 or better. If needed, I live in continental USA.

Sorry if I'm being too picky, I like to get my money's worth.

Now I'm really looking at the Sager or the one I have already chosen. Any opinion on both?

The ASUS has 16 GB of RAM and an SSD. The Sager has a better graphics card and will cost a little more if you add the RAM and SSD. If it were me, I wouldn't worry about the RAM and add an SSD to the Sager. I think the quality is going to be better.

I am still debating on the two. I'm leaning to the Sager. Is their services good? Also, I noticed the ASUS has DDR4. Would that make a huge difference? Thanks.

While I think the ASUS laptops are generally pretty good, I see on these forums quite a bit of negative complaints regarding their customer service. You don't here as much about the Sagers, but I'm sure that has something to do with their market share. The RAM for the Asus doesn't say what speed it is, but I'm assuming it's 2133 which will give about the same performance as the DDR3 1600 because of the difference in timings.

Alright, I think I will get the Sager if I have the monies for the SSD. Thanks. :)
