I finish school in june and start my job the week after and will be on £150 a week, so i will have money to buy a decent laptop, im just struggling finding the best one for my money, like i dont want to waste money on an alienware when there are other laptops better and cheaper. Also i would prefer one that doesnt get too hot and im not that much bothered on the noise. Thanks

It is the same one you picked only cheaper. To answer your question yes i will be good for a few years it has the top of the line graphics card and cpu plus an ssd and a ton of ram. The only way you could really future proof better is to get a laptop with sli 780s

Well Alienware is the best. One of the best things about Alienware is that all components are upgradeable. The Alienware 18 has the options of the Nvidia 765, 770 or the best gaming GP the 780.

Asus and MSI are also pretty good gaming machines. The Lenova Y510 is an economical machine.

I didn't say either the Lenova or MSI weren't. Although MSI you could void the warranty if you break the seal and open it up. But you can get it configured similar to the Alienware but without SLI graphics. But you can get it loaded approaching 6000 US dollars. But Alienware allows you to upgrade to Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ, 4800MQ, 4900MQ 4930MX. It allows 8gb up to 32 gb of ram. Up to 4 SSD/HD combinations with raid 1 or raid 0 (you can remove optical drive and replace with a SSD or HD). Also allows your choice of SLI® enabled Dual Nvidia® GTX 765m, 770m or 780m.
