Hello everyone :) I'm getting a new gaming build and I'm looking for a new gaming monitor. My current build is just over 5 years old and my LG Flatron W2600H is older! It's still going strong and I will move it into the secondary monitor slot, but I'd like something - you know - bigger, better, newer!

It really depends on your needs. If you have the 970 you should try looking towards Gsync monitors as it is a great technology(though a bit on the pricey side). With such a new card I would also get over 1080p and move on to 1440p, I did that just a few months ago and it's gorgeous, I found that the resolution of 1080p above 24" monitors can be a bit low, seeing as I sit close to my montor while gaming and can see the dots(like the image has a texture to it) in certain color combinations.

It also depends wether u need/want 60Hz+ monitors. I am using an AOC q2770pqu and I can't be any happier with it. I wanted to buy the RoG Swift but it cost twice as much and I am also using AMD :)

If you want higher refresh rate monitors I heard good things about asus vx series.

Thank you, i7Baby :) I did look at that. But the largest monitor in the lineup is 27." I would like to go a smidge larger than that. And I am looking for, perhaps, a few more options than those.

dzsonni - Thank so much :) That's some good info. I also sit close to my monitor for gaming: I have to wear my reading glasses to see anything :p I don't know if I want 60Hz+ I dabble in Photoshop but by far my rig is for gaming. I will definitely go for the 1440p
