Best Gaming Monitor

Hello,

What is the best gaming monitor under 24" regardless of price.

IMHO (assuming when you say gaming, you mean you want to win a FPS death match)

For TN, it's the Benq XL2410T, for being 120hz with low input lag (in instant mode), as well as having a fast response time.

For IPS, it's the dell u2312hm, for having insanely low input lag(nearly instant).

Head to head, put in front of a pro gamer, I'd guess the u2312hm will come out ahead, just because of the lower lag. But this is a controversial statement to make about an IPS panel.

I have a u2410 at work. I like it, and it works well enough with games. It's not the fastest monitor in the world, but it's not bad, and the colors are really good. (better than Dell's hm series (u2412hm, u2312hm))

So how about this 24" Dell U2412M Ultrasharp IPS 1920x1200 LED Monitor??

Hello cloud2010,

This is something I read

Do not be fooled by other sellers stating the u2412m is a replacement for this monitor, it is a budget version, please check out reviews before purchasing.

I am now 99% going to go ahead with the U2410, and a local retailer has the latest revision A07 in stock !

The u2412hm is a budget/gaming targeted monitor. It's a 6 bit panel with a-frc as opposed to the u2410 which is true 8-bit (per channel)

The u2412hm is however a faster panel.

I am going ahead with the U2410, I will be using a GTX 580 will I need any additional cables ? and how is the connection made do I connect the monitor to my pc via HDMI or how does it work ?

Ah right, I guess maybe dvi is faster but if there is no difference in speed id rather use hdmi as I like hdmi cables more. :)

I wonder if toms hardware has a article on the matter.
