Hi i recently got COD Black ops 2 and MW3. I started playing online and realized that my mouse i currently have is not really good. I didnt game alot before i got BO2 and MW3 but lately i noticed. So what would be the mice for playing FPS online.I also play RTS and skyrim .Currently i am looking at the Razer Deathadder or the Roccat Kova[+]. What other good gaming mice are there. Also is laser better then optical for FPS Gaming. My current mouse is a no name gaming mouse with a 3200dpi.

I have the same one, a R.A.T 7. I've had many problems with it since day 1. The mouse will start jumping for no reason or stay locked for a short bits. When you're duking it out with someone online and it does that, it's the absolute worst. I got another one thinking I may have been unlucky the first time around. Second replacement did the same exact thing. Now the second one is double clicking when I single click as well which is really bad in CS GO when trying to buy weapons. I have to use an SG553 everytime LOL It never feels comfortable to me aiming either, but that's just a preference issue. I'm buying another Deathadder soon. I sold my old one to my friend.

Wow. I must just have good luck or you have really bad luck then. I have not had any issues with jumping (or locking). The only issues that I have had with it is the placement of the "aim" button (button you hold in that lowers the DPI. Makes it easier to aim), it should be a little further back........but that is just personal preference.

I know some people have claimed that it "jumps" a lot, but that is because they lift their mice when they use them. Lifting the mouse will cause it to "jump", but this does not happen if the mouse is kept on the surface like it is meant to be.
(At least from my experience with the mouse I have.)

I don't pick up the mouse at all. I leave it down and slide. I really wanted to like the R.A.T. I mean, it just looks so cool! but in end its a no go for me. Anyways, the whole R.A.T. series has a pretty bad rep already. You're one of the lucky ones who has a flawless mouse.

i am 2. if your mouse is faulty send it back. it has a 2 year warranty.
then again i did give fair warning to every 1 when i got mine last year. i said it had faults. i had to return mine because it would move the cursor when i used right click. the replacement is faultless though and i can say its the best mouse i have used in a very long time. tracking is spot on. the dpi can be set very close to my screen size or 16/9 very easily. the variable poll rate reduces prediction brilliantly and the acceleration can be truely turned off.
the rat 7 contagion in my opinion if you can get a working 1 is 1 of the best mice you can get.
if you want a very good mouse for not a lot of money then try the anker mouse i reviewed on here last week.

i would say go to the shop and test a few. then pick the 1 that has limited prediction and good acceleration management. try to find 1 that allows a true zero on acceleration or turn it off completely. some can some cant. but its a personal thing. so best test yourself to see what you like.

Oh yeah definitely. The configuration to this mouse is top-notch. I should perhaps send it back for another one. Still getting a deathadder again though.
