I am trying to decide between four different gaming mice. The Roccat Kone XTD, The Razer Ouroboros, the Mad Catz R.A.T. 9, or the Logitech G502 Proteus Core. I love the lighting options on the Kone XTD. I haven't heard much great about Razer in general lately, but I don't know if that's just a myth. The R.A.T. 9 has a TON of customization, which I like. The Proteus Core just looks sexy. It has really good reviews, too. I can't decide on which one to get! Money doesn't matter. I have relatively small hands and a palm grip. I play FPS games and any other game besides MMOs. Which mouse is the best quality, preforms the best, and will suit my needs? (I forgot to add, I'm right handed)

With the G502? The main concerns were the looks of the mouse (which is completely opinionated), the form of the mouse (which again, differs from user to user), and the mouse feet were peeling off with little use on a cloth pad.

The last one is an issue, it seems the mouse, although optical, does not play friendly with cloth pads. But it doesn't happen to every mouse. I use a hard pad on with mine and it's absolutely great. I used to miss my G9X, but with the G502, I don't anymore.

Another complaint was that if you dropped the mouse, it would right click. Other users in the forum I was browsing confirmed that this does happen, but ONLY with excessive force (pretty much you're trying to break your mouse or use unnecessary force). In...
I recently switched from a G9X to the Roccat Kone Pure Optical. Then firmly switched to the G502 about a week later. The Roccat was too small for my hands, and made it cramp and hurt. People have small issues with the G502, but in my personal experience, the mouse feels great, and is incredibly accurate (best sensor available to the public currently I believe). So if you play a ton of FPS games or even casually like I do, I'd suggest getting the G502 if not purely for the sensor.

What kind of issues have people had?

In real world applications, the problem was never replicated.
