I'm looking for a new gaming PC setup. I'll need the desktop + a monitor.

I would like the desktop to be a prebuilt.

I can spend about $3000 CAN (or about $2300 USD). Preferably from Canada, so I don't have to spend a lot on shipping.

What are my best choices? I've seen Alienware desktops get really good reviews, but on forums I've seen people bash them.

Thanks for your help!

What's your monitor resolution or do you need one?

Thanks for the response.

I would need a monitor. I was looking at prices ranges, and I suppose a 2K monitor would be best at this price range?
Should be able to fit in a 2K monitor if the gpu prices right. tbh I can't honestly think of a decent prebuilt in that price range that doesn't short you on either the motherboard or power supply. Best to order the components and either build it yourself or call around to local mom & pop PC / laptop repair shops and have them build it for you after you receive the components.

You should have a look at HP's Omen 45L line.

It's highly customizable and a very decent system starts at $1500.

HP Omen 45L

Why? That was maybe a thing a few months ago when you couldn't find GPUs anywhere. But now that you can buy them again, there's no reason to go prebuild anymore.

This is what I would suggest:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 3.7 GHz 12-Core Processor ($449.99 @ Amazon Canada)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H115i RGB PLATINUM 97 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($356.22 @ Amazon Canada)
Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard ($239.99 @ Memory Express)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory ($211.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($199.95 @ shopRBC)
Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($199.95 @ shopRBC)
Video Card: MSI GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB VENTUS 2X OC Video Card
Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case ($114.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Power Supply: SeaSonic PRIME 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($192.98 @ Newegg Canada)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro OEM 64-bit ($155.25 @ Vuugo)
Total: $2121.31
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Because.....

1 - The original post showed interest in prebuilts (from Newegg)

2 - The Omen 45L from HP can be customized to even include a 3080 (unlike your 3070 suggestion) and all the toys you mentioned, for about or even less than the amount you posted!

3 - The reviews for the Omen 45L have been overwhelmingly positive.

4 - Many of us have have done enough building and want someone else, like HP, to enjoy this activity!

OK I missed that part.

That’s not bad, I still have issues with prebuilt though. If that’s the way you want to go then that’s fine.

4 - Many of us have have done enough building and want someone else, like HP, to enjoy this activity!

The company that used to occupy the warehouse space next to where I work was a Cyberpower affiliate and everyday I would see some serious atrocities being committed (like glass cases being stacked on top of each other, resulting in broken glass everywhere in the parking lot). They treat these machines like garbage and judging by their track record, it really shows. We were glad when they moved out.
