Best Gaming Raid Configuration??

I have 2 WD Green 500gb Hdds on my newly assembled gamin rig.
Here are my specs:

GIGABYTE GA-MA785GT-UD3H
Sapphire Radeon HD4850 512MB DDR3
AMD Phenom II X2 Processor 550 3.1 GHz (Black Edition)
2 Western Digital Caviar Green 500GB SATA2

What is the best raid configuration (if any) for my 2 hdds or should i just leave the as JBOD.


ps: I really don't want to set them up as RAid 0 since i consider that a waste of hdd space :lol: :lol:

Well, with only 2 drives and the fact that you do not want to do a RAID0, you have no options for a "best gaming RAID configuration"...with just two drives, your RAID options are limited to RAID1 and RAID0...also, JBOD could also be considered "a waste of space" since a true JBOD combines the multiple physical disks into one logical drive but without the striping of RAID0...really though, with two drives, RAID0 is your best option...

If you're looking for primarily read performance wouldn't 0 and 1 be pretty much the same? Why not go with 1 for the redundancy? I know writes will be slower with 1.
