Guys, i need a 1TB storage for gaming and my budget is 165$ , knowing that i have MSI Z370-A PRO and i was thinking of buying Samsung 860 evo ,but i don't know the difference between the SATA and M.2, plus which one is better for gaming.

m.2 is a form of SSD.

What you want is an NVME drive (in m.2 form) which is an SSD that connects to a PCIE slot and not the slower SATA connection.

The 860 EVO, in either 2.5" or m.2 format.

Performance is identical. Just a difference in how they connect.
Personally, I'd go with the 2.5". Easier to move to different hardware if needed in the future.

well the 860 Evo Sata SSD is a good drive anyway and to be honest there isnt a big noticeable difference between the two (NVME/SATA) so go for that.
