What is, in your opinion, the best gaming system setup you can get with $1,000 currently?
Just the system and a monitor, excluding keyboard, mouse and OS.

I have read some threads posted last year, but I wanted to know what you can get today with that amount. Thanks.

Solution

Absolutely.
Throw in a GTX 1070 or RX 480 and it'll be great.

The motherboard offers m.2 support, four USB 3.0 ports on the rear, and a header for two more in the front.
The GPU will perform very well, and will work amazingly in 1080p.
The SSD is very fast, which will be great for storing your most used programs.
The power supply is rated tier 2 by the PSU tier list, and is a great model.
Best of luck!

Mine is a little over budget but if you're spending $1K or more definitely go for a GTX 1070:

Thank you guys, I went and mixed parts from everyone's opinion and decided with this setup.
It's a little over my budget, but I'm thinking in using this for over 6 years at least so I would be worth it.
Let me know if there is anything you think I should change.

Yes, my plans is getting the 1070 =D. Do you think, in your opinion, that I'd be able to have this system last for more than 5-6 years?
